Deceive is a small program that allows you to appear offline in League of Legends, Valorant and Legends of Runeterra, without losing any functionality whatsoever. You can still chat with your friends and communicate with other players during the hero selection phase, but you will appear offline in your friends' list.

How to appear offline on League of Legends?

Using Deceive is very simple. Once you have installed the program, it will be minimized in your taskbar, where you can control the status. By default the app will activate Offline Mode, so it will run in the background, without attracting attention. A notification in the bottom right corner of the screen will let you know that everything is working as it should. If you ever want to change this, just right-click on the icon and disable it. Your friends will instantly be able to see you appear online once again.

Can you be banned for using Deceive?

You might be worried that Riot Games could ban you for using Deceive. The truth is though, according to the developers and after having consulted one of the company's employees, using the app is not illegal and you cannot be banned for it. It is possible, however, that at some point the app may stop working. But no, you will not be banned for using Deceive.

Thanks to this software you can play safe in the knowledge that other users won't be able to see that you are playing or talk to you. Best of all, the program is very small (less than 1.5MB) and consumes virtually no resources. What's more, although your friends won't be able to invite you, you can still invite them to play.
